Favorite dewy foundations

Wednesday, 17 September 2014

Hi everyone!

I have normal to dry skin and adore dewy or semi dewy finish foundations so I thought I'll blog about my favorite dewy foundations.

1, Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation. This could possibly be my holy grail foundation. It's full coverage but feels light. Gives an amazing dewy finish without looking oily or shiny. Plus it has an amazing colour range to choose from. Great for pale skin like me. Only downside that it does transfer a lot if not blended right or not set with powder.

2, Mac Studio Sculpt foundation. You know that product you use for a while then stop and completely forgot about it until one day you use it again and remember why you loved it so much? This is what happened to me! I used to wear this foundation all the time then didn't wear it for a year and only just got back to loving it again! It gives you a dewy finish but because it's so creamy you need to powder it or else its just going to slip off your face even if you have dry skin.

3, L'oreal Lumi Magique foundation. This is one of the best dewy foundation you can get in drug stores. It gives you a medium to buildable coverage with a nice satin finish that makes your skin look so healthy. In fact the whole L'oreal Lumi Magique line is fantastic! I would totally recommend them!

4, Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I'm 50/50 with this foundation. I think it depends on how you apply this foundation. If I apply it with the beauty blender I can get medium to full coverage, but apply with a brush you get sheer to medium coverage. Plus I feel it clings on dry patches around on your face. But then again apply it correctly it gives you such a satin finish, healthy glow for you.

What are your favourite foundations? Any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments!

CHANEL - Rouge Coco Shine

Friday, 29 August 2014

I have bad news...My camera is broken! Forgive me for the awful iphone pictures I will be posting until my camera is fixed.

Anyway today I'm blogging about one of my favorite lipsticks. The Chanel rouge coco shine hydrating sheer lipshine.
Although I only have 2 they are the best lipstick I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of lipsticks!

The shades I have are L-R - ''Boy'' and ''Chance'' which is no discontinued. And I can't believe it because it's my favorite lipstick of all time!

They are not pigmented but sheer. They also give you an amazing shine to the lips and its very moisturising to wear.
The only bad thing about them is that they don't last on the lips at all. But that doesn't really bother me as I love the smell of these so I just love reapplying them.

As you can see from the picture above, they are very glossy and sheer. ''boy'' is such a nice nude everyday colour and ''chance'' is a beautiful pink colour that really goes well with my pale skin.

Whats your favourite lipstick? Let me know in the comments below!

Autumn Wish list

Wednesday, 27 August 2014

Autumn is upon us and my favourite season! I love everything about autumn from the warm, cozy evenings to the dark nights, colourful leaves, cold weather, open fire, warm clothing and how can I forget the scented candles!!
So here's my autumn wish list of 2014.

1, Laura Mercier smooth finish flawless foundation. This is a new foundation from Laura Mercier. ''A long-wear, oil free foundation that magically blurs the line between skin and makeup'' I've seen a review from ''ItsJudyTime'' on youtube about this foundation and it looks amazing! - It is already out in the US and Canada so hopefully it won't be long until the UK gets their hands on it!

2, A camel coat. Yes. I want a coat that it the colour of if you live on a farm with cows...you know what that colour is. I find it very hard to find a good camel colour coat because of that situation. Coming from living on a farm, in a farm village and town. But this coat from Bershka  looks decant...I think. Hopefully it will be! haha.

3, This is a skirt from missguided. I have been eyeing up these type of skirts for a while now. I think it will look great with black tights. heeled boots, white shirt and that camel coat. So autumn.

4, And the last. The Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallet. I know it's been months and I STILL haven't got it. I don't know why. I don't live near any shops that sell it so I guess I have just managed to avoid it. But I need to buy it before this year ends. Plus there's a Naked Basics 2 by Urban Decay coming out soon and I will certainly buy that when it comes out!

Do you have anything you wish to buy this Autumn? Let me know in the comments below!

SUMMER IN THE CITY 2014 - Through my iPhone

Tuesday, 12 August 2014

Hi everyone!
I just got back from my trip to London and Summer in the City 2014!!
If you don't know what summer in the city is it's a youtube event like Vidcon or Playlist live. It's a chance to meet your favorite youtubers and other things like watching performances, learning about the community of youtube etc.

I went last year for the very first time and had such a blast there that I knew I would defiantly come back! And 2014 did not disappoint! I met some of my fave youtubers and just had an amazing experience there.

I went for the whole weekend with my friend Leanne. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet some of the youtubers that did meet and greets like Zoella, Dan and Phil, Caspar Lee, Joe Sugg etc ''the big youtubers'' but we still had a great time!

Here are a few snaps I got at sitc from my iPhone, Enjoy!

Me and my friend Leanne after arriving in London!

A Mac Haul

Monday, 9 June 2014

Hi everyone! It's been about 2 months since I've been writing on this blog! I've been super busy with college work and may was just a mad month!

Anyway in the last week of May I went up to Manchester to see One Direction live!! (I got right up to the front yay!) And of course I went shopping!

I went to the mac counter at Selfridges to see what's new and if I wanted some new things.
I picked up 4 things.

Left - Right - Mac Strobe Cream, Mac Alluring Aquatic lip pencil in ''What comes naturally'', Mac ''Myth'' lipstick and Mac ''Springsheen'' blush.

First off we have Mac Strobe Cream which is basically a ''shimmery'' ''glowing'' cream that you put under your foundation for a dewy look. It does give you a nice glowing look to your face which makes you look awake and healthy. But do I wear it as a moisturiser or a primer? I don't know yet as i've only tested it out like a moisturiser. But I do think I need moisturiser under it because I do have dry skin.

(wow great pictuer there Anna. Well done)

Mac's Alluring Aquatic collection was beautiful although I only liked 1 product from them. And it's the ''What comes naturally'' lip pencil. I bought it simply because I wanted a nude lip pencil to town down the colour of my natural lips because I have very pigmented lips. I love this although its extremely drying! It does not look good with my dry lips! I need to moisturiser my lips to the extreme to wear this.

Next we have mac's ''Myth'' lipstick. I saw many people like and rave this lipstick so I decided to buy it. It's a nic nude colour and VERY pigmented. But I don't think I can pull it off. It doesn't really suite me also its so dry on my lips! Maybe if the future I can work it. But as of now. No. Not for me.

And last we have ''Springsheen'' blush. I wanted a new blush from mac because i've been using the same blush for over a year now and was getting fed up with it. ''Springsheen'' is a lovely pink, coral with little gold dust it it. I LOVE it!!! It's so me and last all day. It gives me enough colour on my face and the little gold dust makes me look alive and healthy on my dull pale skin.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

If you know any good lip moisturisers comment down below! I need some!

Holy Grail - My evening skincare routine

Wednesday, 2 April 2014

Hi everyone! Hope you all doing well. I've been super busy with college work lately as i'm trying finish my college work asap! Because the sooner I finish the sooner i'll get my holidays!

Anyway...this year one of my ''new year resolution'' was getting a good cleansing/skin care routine down and sticking to it!

I'm always that girl that usually doesn't take cleansing seriously as last year I would usually just take my makeup off with some wiped and bioderma.

But for the last 4 months i've been sticking to this routine (finally after getting a good products that didn't make my skin go mad!) and it's done me good! My face haven't felt more cleaner that this!

These are the products I've been using.
Clairsonic mia
Cetaphil Gental Skin Cleanser
L'oreal Paris - Skin perfection 15 seconds miracle oil cleanser
La Roche Posay - Effaclar duo+

The first thing I do it take all of my makeup off by using this. It's a cleansing oil and I know what you are all thinking ''OIL TO CLEAN FACE?!?! NO!'' I know I know...that's how I felt before using it but oh my! It is a miracle!

You get about 3 pumps of the oil and rub it all over on your dry face. You can also use this to remove your eye makeup. As you apply it on your face it literally melts away your makeup off your skin! Its amazing! After doing that for like...15 seconds...you remove it by a warm wash cloth or if your lazy like me just normal water & face & bam all makeup and oil is gone!

After I do that I will use the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser because I don't like to think that oil is still on my face, which in reality there isn't but just to make sure I use this to complete 100% wash everything of my face.

Because my skin is very sensitive I only use the clairsonic cleanser once a week. Usually on a sunday just to get rid of everything and to exfoliate my skin. the cetaphil works amazing on my skin, doesn't irritate and removes all dirt and makeup! hooray!

I will then apply this all over my face. Some people say you should only use it on your blemishes or where you think blemishes are showing. But since my skin is teenage/acne prone/i've been on accutane so I get very stressful if I get acne back I just use it all over my face day and night. I usually put more product if there is a breakout on my skin.

You all must of heard about this product and how amazing it is. For me it wasn't. Yes it does work but with me it takes 3 or 4 weeks to completely get rid of my stubborn acne so I was a but disappointed with this product. But I do feel like it does kinda work...

What is your nighttime skincare routine? Let me know in the comments below!
