A Mac Haul

Monday, 9 June 2014

Hi everyone! It's been about 2 months since I've been writing on this blog! I've been super busy with college work and may was just a mad month!

Anyway in the last week of May I went up to Manchester to see One Direction live!! (I got right up to the front yay!) And of course I went shopping!

I went to the mac counter at Selfridges to see what's new and if I wanted some new things.
I picked up 4 things.

Left - Right - Mac Strobe Cream, Mac Alluring Aquatic lip pencil in ''What comes naturally'', Mac ''Myth'' lipstick and Mac ''Springsheen'' blush.

First off we have Mac Strobe Cream which is basically a ''shimmery'' ''glowing'' cream that you put under your foundation for a dewy look. It does give you a nice glowing look to your face which makes you look awake and healthy. But do I wear it as a moisturiser or a primer? I don't know yet as i've only tested it out like a moisturiser. But I do think I need moisturiser under it because I do have dry skin.

(wow great pictuer there Anna. Well done)

Mac's Alluring Aquatic collection was beautiful although I only liked 1 product from them. And it's the ''What comes naturally'' lip pencil. I bought it simply because I wanted a nude lip pencil to town down the colour of my natural lips because I have very pigmented lips. I love this although its extremely drying! It does not look good with my dry lips! I need to moisturiser my lips to the extreme to wear this.

Next we have mac's ''Myth'' lipstick. I saw many people like and rave this lipstick so I decided to buy it. It's a nic nude colour and VERY pigmented. But I don't think I can pull it off. It doesn't really suite me also its so dry on my lips! Maybe if the future I can work it. But as of now. No. Not for me.

And last we have ''Springsheen'' blush. I wanted a new blush from mac because i've been using the same blush for over a year now and was getting fed up with it. ''Springsheen'' is a lovely pink, coral with little gold dust it it. I LOVE it!!! It's so me and last all day. It gives me enough colour on my face and the little gold dust makes me look alive and healthy on my dull pale skin.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

If you know any good lip moisturisers comment down below! I need some!

Holy Grail - My evening skincare routine

Wednesday, 2 April 2014

Hi everyone! Hope you all doing well. I've been super busy with college work lately as i'm trying finish my college work asap! Because the sooner I finish the sooner i'll get my holidays!

Anyway...this year one of my ''new year resolution'' was getting a good cleansing/skin care routine down and sticking to it!

I'm always that girl that usually doesn't take cleansing seriously as last year I would usually just take my makeup off with some wiped and bioderma.

But for the last 4 months i've been sticking to this routine (finally after getting a good products that didn't make my skin go mad!) and it's done me good! My face haven't felt more cleaner that this!

These are the products I've been using.
Clairsonic mia
Cetaphil Gental Skin Cleanser
L'oreal Paris - Skin perfection 15 seconds miracle oil cleanser
La Roche Posay - Effaclar duo+

The first thing I do it take all of my makeup off by using this. It's a cleansing oil and I know what you are all thinking ''OIL TO CLEAN FACE?!?! NO!'' I know I know...that's how I felt before using it but oh my! It is a miracle!

You get about 3 pumps of the oil and rub it all over on your dry face. You can also use this to remove your eye makeup. As you apply it on your face it literally melts away your makeup off your skin! Its amazing! After doing that for like...15 seconds...you remove it by a warm wash cloth or if your lazy like me just normal water & face & bam all makeup and oil is gone!

After I do that I will use the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser because I don't like to think that oil is still on my face, which in reality there isn't but just to make sure I use this to complete 100% wash everything of my face.

Because my skin is very sensitive I only use the clairsonic cleanser once a week. Usually on a sunday just to get rid of everything and to exfoliate my skin. the cetaphil works amazing on my skin, doesn't irritate and removes all dirt and makeup! hooray!

I will then apply this all over my face. Some people say you should only use it on your blemishes or where you think blemishes are showing. But since my skin is teenage/acne prone/i've been on accutane so I get very stressful if I get acne back I just use it all over my face day and night. I usually put more product if there is a breakout on my skin.

You all must of heard about this product and how amazing it is. For me it wasn't. Yes it does work but with me it takes 3 or 4 weeks to completely get rid of my stubborn acne so I was a but disappointed with this product. But I do feel like it does kinda work...

What is your nighttime skincare routine? Let me know in the comments below!

Hair SOS

Friday, 7 March 2014

Hello everyone!
As some of you may know I have blonde hair. Actually I have highlighted hair. That went through a LOT back in October.
I've had my hair highlighted for the past 4 years and last october I decided I wanted to go full bleach. Bad mistake! Not only I bleached my hair but I did it at home with a ''home bleach'' packet. If you ever think of dong that, then don't!

After I bleached my hair it started falling out, breaking off and made my hair really weak and very damaged! So obviously I needed products to save my hair!

These are the products I have been using and I can honestly say the worked amazing!!

I use ''TIGI Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection' for my shampoo. It smells so so good! It has moisture in it to rehydrate your hair. Helps keep colour vibrant and zeros in on dry and damaged hair.

I used then ''TRESemmé Platinum Strength'' conditioner. This is such a good conditioner as it makes your hair feel so soft and I believe it actually makes your hair feel stronger!

Then once a week I will use this ''TRESemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment'' I will leave it on my hair for about 5-10 minuets. It makes your hair feel strong, soft and smooth. Love it!!

Have any of you had/got damage hair? Let me know what products you have in the comments below!

Em Cosmetics by Michelle Phan - Chiaroscuro - Review

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Hi everyone!
I've basically been through hell and back in the past 3 weeks! Here in Britain we've had the worst weather storms on record in a long time! And since I live in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a forestry, the wind blew the trees over our power lines and since then we've had no electricity nor internet! NOTHING! Until now of course!
It made me realise how much we depend on electricity haha! Anywaaay...

Some of you may know Michelle Phan if not she's a very successful youtuber who resonantly came out with her very own cosmetic line! ''Em Cosmetics'' And she just got international shipping so I went straight to order what i've been eyeing for a long time!

This is the ''Chiaroscuro'' It's a highlight and contour stick!

I got it in the shade ''Fair'' and it's perfect for my skin tone! I'm like an NC10 colour and its not brow or orange on me!

Pros: - Super blendable!
- Highlighter is beautiful! It's beautiful on fair skin!
- Contour shade is the perfect shade! Not to orange and not to brown
- The packaging is a metal and easy to use
- Can easily fit in a makeup bag

Cons - The product can melt if it's a warm place
- It's $24.00 (£14 something) and I don't think it's worth that money.
- The shipping is horrible.

Overall I think it's an amazing product but would I buy it again? I don't know...

The only big issue I got with this is the shipping progress. When you want to order something from the website it will take you to ''MyUS'' website and you have to create an account for it. Then when you go to basket on the em cosmetics website you have to enter an american address which ''MyUS'' provides you with when you sign up. I was a bit confused with this as I thought it could be a con website but lucky enough it wasn't. After you pay your order will be shipped to the American address and from there will be flown by ''FedEx'' to your house. It was a bit of a hassle and got me very confused on why I had to do that by hey! I got my product in the end!

First MAC Pallet! - New Shades - Naked Lunch & Sketch

Wednesday, 5 February 2014

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't posted in a week, i've been super busy with college work!
Anyway last sunday I bought some new MAC eyeshadows to complete my MAC pallet!

I bought ''Naked Lunch'' & ''Sketch''

Naked Lunch - Frost Finish

Sketch - Matte Finish

I love these eyeshadows. ''Naked Lunch'' is such a nice, frosty finish than gives you the most beautiful highlighter in the corner of your eye and on the brow bone.
''Sketch'' goes nicely with my green eyes! Makes the pop! Its a nice matte for me to blend in the outer corner of my eyes.

What other colours should I get? Comment down below! Would love to see your suggestions.
