The Pink Lipsticks

Sunday, 12 October 2014

Hello everyone!
I love pink lipsticks. In fact I adore them so much that I decided to post about my favorite ones.
I just find that the pinks suite my complexion well. I'm a pale skin girl and believe that the pink colours makes you look awake, radiant and lively!

L-R
1. MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga 2. Chanel Coco Rouge Shine in Chance 3. Rimmel London Kate Moss in 05 3. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Vivacious 4. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusme.

My favorite are Mac lady gaga and Chanel in chance. They are my most worn lipsticks of all time. But the sad thing is that ''Chance'' has been discontinued :(

What lipstick colours do you like the most?

Bath and Body Work Candles

Thursday, 9 October 2014

Hi everyone!
When the nights get darker and the weather turns colder I bring out my scented candles and boy oh boy did I have fun whilst shopping at Bath and Body Works in Canada!
It was a great timing going in there because they just released their Autumn collection so I was very happy to see this!

Small mason jar candle in Bourbon Butterscotch

The main ones - Mason Jar Candles

The main ones I picked up was the ones that I liked the most. Honest to god ALL OF THEM SMELLS SO GOOD!
Leaves being one of the most popular candles I had to smell it and believe me on this it literally smells like Autumn Leaves! You know that Autumn smell when your out and about with the weather being dry and the sun shining yet its cold? Yes it's that smell!

Of course I had to pick up a pumpkin smelling candle. Most of the pumpkin candles there had some sort of ''spice'' in them and i'm not to keen on the spice scent. So the Caramel Pumpkin Swirl is just perfect!

Then this was a random candle. My mother was with me shopping and she picked up the Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding and she loved the scent! Me too! It smells like a coffee shop with fresh pudding in the making. Lovely!

So that's my Bath and Body Works haul. What your favourite scented candle? Let me know in the comments!

Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick - A Nars Dupe

Tuesday, 7 October 2014

Hello everyone!
This is juts a quick blog post review about a product that I think it's amazing for the price.
I'm sure by now you've heard/seen Maybelline's Color Drama Lipsticks.
They are very pigmented lipstick/lip pencil that it an amazing dupe for Nars Lip pencils/lipstick.

One of the pros is that they are very long lasting and doesn't smudge! Brilliant!
I've also find that they aren't drying on the lips and thank god for that since the cold weather is hitting us and our lips are getting dryer.

They currently sell for £4.99 in Boots stores.

Have you tried these before? Or have tried the Nars ones? Let me know in the comments below!

What I got in Canada - Makeup

Sunday, 5 October 2014

Hi everyone!
I just got back from my holiday, I went to Canada to see the rocky mountains also Vancouver where I got to shop a little bit.

As most of you know we don't have a Sephora in the UK (but it does ship it for us) so I was excited to see what stuff they have in there. Now, my mother is probably Sephora's number 1 fan! She doesn't stop talking about how amazing the store is and how she wishes there's a sephora in the UK. And I couldn't agree more with her.

Anyway this is what I bought in Canada.

First up it's Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. I got this foundation after regretting not buying it last summer when I was in America. It gives full coverage and last all day. For me it's a satin finish not to dewy and not to matte. If you like Laura Mercier's silk cream foundation then you will love this since it's exactly the same but better is my opinion.

2, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in medium brown (medium ash) I was trying to get the Ash blonde colour but it was sold out :( But I just could not leave without getting one. I think now it's my holy grail for eyebrows!! I've always used powders/eyeshadows but now this has totally converted me to pencils! It's amazing! I can't get enough of it! If you do get the chance to get one of these then  do it soon!

3, Smashbox photo finish primer. I know you can get these in the UK but I ran out of primer while in Canada. I've tried 2 other smashbox primers and haven't been impressed with them. But since this is one of their best selling products I gave it a go. 1, The smell of it is disgusting. I can't stand it. Smells so artificial. 2, After seeing photos of me with this primer on my skin looks flawless! It's amazing in pictures! 3, It actually makes makeup last for a very long time. I wore it for 25 hours and my foundation was still on amazing!

4, Nyx powder blush in pinched. I went to a drug store called London Drugs in Canada and found a batch of Nyx products there! It was my first time seeing nyx products so I was exciting to try thing out. But their stand was disgusting. Half of the products was missing and open etc. What a shame. But I did pick up this blush I haven't tried it yet but hopefully with the great reviews of their blushed I won't be disappointed.

5, Last but not least the Nyx jumbo eye pencil. Since hearing great, amazing reviews of this product I needed to get it. Thankfully there was the shade I wanted left (milk) which I quickly got. I also haven't tried this yet but probably won't be disappointed with it since the raves it has gotten in the beauty world.

That's it! Hoped you liked my little haul from Canada. What's your fave nyx product? Let me know in the comments below!

Shellac - Gel Polish

Friday, 19 September 2014

Hi everyone!
Have you ever tried gel polish before? If not then you totally should!
I've had my few shares of getting gel nails before and the only gels i've had are the brand ''Shellac'' There's a lot more different brands out there but the 2 most popular are ''Shellac'' and ''Gelish''

Here I am wearing Shellac's ''Decadence'' and ''Locket Love'' on my ring finger.

Gel polish are a UV polishes that gives you glossy shine and will last with out chipping for 14 days.

I haven't had a set where the don't chip for 14 days, but when I say that they only chip a little bit and that's by me being clumsy and knocking my nails with things. But I do think if your careful they will last that much!

The only downside with these are that they dehydrate the nail and uses UV lights. But I think it's worth it haha.

Have you tried gel polishes before? Let me know in the comments! Also have you ever tried the ''Gelish'' brand before? I think they have nicer colours than ''Shellac''

Favorite dewy foundations

Wednesday, 17 September 2014

Hi everyone!

I have normal to dry skin and adore dewy or semi dewy finish foundations so I thought I'll blog about my favorite dewy foundations.

1, Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation. This could possibly be my holy grail foundation. It's full coverage but feels light. Gives an amazing dewy finish without looking oily or shiny. Plus it has an amazing colour range to choose from. Great for pale skin like me. Only downside that it does transfer a lot if not blended right or not set with powder.

2, Mac Studio Sculpt foundation. You know that product you use for a while then stop and completely forgot about it until one day you use it again and remember why you loved it so much? This is what happened to me! I used to wear this foundation all the time then didn't wear it for a year and only just got back to loving it again! It gives you a dewy finish but because it's so creamy you need to powder it or else its just going to slip off your face even if you have dry skin.

3, L'oreal Lumi Magique foundation. This is one of the best dewy foundation you can get in drug stores. It gives you a medium to buildable coverage with a nice satin finish that makes your skin look so healthy. In fact the whole L'oreal Lumi Magique line is fantastic! I would totally recommend them!

4, Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I'm 50/50 with this foundation. I think it depends on how you apply this foundation. If I apply it with the beauty blender I can get medium to full coverage, but apply with a brush you get sheer to medium coverage. Plus I feel it clings on dry patches around on your face. But then again apply it correctly it gives you such a satin finish, healthy glow for you.

What are your favourite foundations? Any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments!
