Giorgio Armani Si Eau de Parfum

Sunday 22 September 2013

Hi everyone!
I needed a new perfume for A/W this year because that's how I buy my perfumes. By perfumes with the seasons. Anyway i'm sure that you might of seen Giorgio Armani ''Si'' perfume advert (if you live in the UK that is) resonantly on out TV's and instantly I took a liking to it.

I really like the name ''Si'' it's simple but yet effective! Maybe a french brand should do a perfume called ''Oui'' haha.

According to ''the perfume shop'' it's heart notes are - Rose, Neroli Absolute and Egyptian Jasmine Absolute.
Top notes - Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin Oil and Liquer de Cassis.
Base notes - Patchouli Oil, Blond Woods, Amber, Orcanox and Vanille Absolute.

It's a different sent to what other perfumes I have smelt before. It's got it fruity smell but also woody. You get this toned down fruity smell that is perfect for A/W.

It's also kinda musky, like Thierry Mugler ''Alien'' perfume and Jimmy Choo original perfume. They have the musky notes in them.
I would also say it's more of a night time perfume but can easily get away with in the day like what I use it for!

It price range is 30ml - 100ml £43.00 - £84.00

I really like this perfume and I would defiantly advise you to get a sample of this if you want a new perfume for the winter! :)

Elf Studio Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red - Review!

Tuesday 17 September 2013

Hi guys!
I was on the elf website the other week to buy the powder brush that everyone has been raving about! (Turns out it is AMAZING!) And as I was on the website I decided to buy a few more things. One of the things I bought is the Studio Matte Lip Colour. The reason being buying this is because I needed a red lip liner for winter. And since I never have tried this before and it was kinda cheap - £3.75, I might as well buy it!

Now I wasn't expecting it to be what it is...

As you can see it's sort of like a pencil. But when I swatches it first it had no colour coming off it whats so ever.

The colour does not match on what is supposed to be. When I put in on my lips it turned even more pink rather than red! I wasn't impressed at all.

It does gives you a moisturising feeling and feels lightweight on your lips. But it wasn't matte! It looked mildly glossy. Overall I would not recommend it. It didn't impress me at all. I was very disappointed with it.

I would give it 6/10 it was okay if you like a pink toned lip colour, moisturising and kinda cheap.
But no I will not buy any other Lip Colour.

Review - Cover FX Cream Foundation - in N0

Friday 6 September 2013

Hi everyone!
I needed a new foundation since it's basically winter here in the UK and all of my currant foundation are a little bit dark for me, so I decided to make some research on this foundation.

Cover FX Cream Foundation in N0.

What they say about this foundation -

  • ''An antioxidant-rich, 2-in-1 concealer and foundation offering broad spectrum SPF 30 protection with medium to full, buildable coverage.
  • This foundation provides an all-day radiant finish that nourishes and protects with anti-aging benefits. The buildable formula can provide medium to full coverage and offers SPF 30, full UV protection, and all-day wear.
  • Provides optimum coverage of skin imperfections such as acne, redness, under eye circles, uneven skin tones, post-surgical bruising, vitiligo, and tattoos and protection from wind, sun and pollution.
  • This clinically tested product does not contain the Inflammatory Five: gluten, mineral oil, fragrance, parabens or talc.''

What I saw about this foundation -
Great but not good. Not worth the hype of what it says. Yes it does cover up good! I used the beauty blender to use it and can easily get full coverage!
But it is NOT all-day wear. I have combination skin, normal and dry. But this foundation made me so shiny! It came off easily, enhances my pores and made my dry skin very noticeable.

It came with a sponge which is pretty pointless for me. The shade N0 was very light. To light for me at this point but will probably be a perfect match in 2 months time. If you have celtic or irish skin then this will be perfect! Choose the 3 first shades and you will guarantee a perfect colour! It aslo has a lot of shades to choose from. They have Pink undertones (P), Neutral undertones (N) and Golden undertones (G)

Here is half of my face without any foundations. As you can see i have acne scarring. It doesn't show up well on camera but it's defiantly worse in real life!

As you can see this foundation covers well! I applied it with a beauty blender. And the shade is a little bit lighter than my actual skin tone. WOW!

Overall I would give it 5/10.
Good coverage.
Good shades.
Satin finish.

But:
Makes me shiny after 5 hours.
Not long lasting.
Cling on dry patches.
Enhances pores.
Comes off easily.

TREND - Autumn & Winter 2013 Makeup!

Tuesday 3 September 2013

Hi!
Autumn and Winter is upon us! Summer is long and gone! (about time! I love the winter!)
As I was browsing on different websites I came across this trend for Autumn and Winter!

Its all about the eyes!

Dramatic eyes, cat-eyes, Orange eyeshadow and The classic for Winter - Red and Wine lips.

The eyes are dramatic. Emphasise your eyes by doing the classic smokey eye look. Cat eyes are a favorite. Personally the cat eyes look is my favorite look on any occasions!
When having a dramatic eye look do not wear a bright, shocking lips. Go for the nude, pink, peach lips. You don't want your lips to be overpowering your eyes!

The classic red. Of course. Nothing beats winter than having red lips! This seasons its best to go for a shine or gloss red look rather than a matte. Don't go for the harsh red instead choose a light lipstick/lipgloss for a more subtle look this winter.

Another trend is the wine/plum lips. The wine lips will look great this season with the dramatic eyes. The wine lips are made for the winter! It's getting dark so the lips get darker!

Maybelline's master precise liquid eyeliner is a must have for cat eyes look. Easy to use - £5.99
Urban Decay's most popular palette ''Naked'' is a must have. Great colours for a dramatic eye! - £36

Revlon's lip butter in Red velvet give your lips a tint of red while moisturising it - £7.99

For the wine lips try Lancôme color design matte lipstick in Plum Show - $22

Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer - Review

Sunday 1 September 2013

Hi everyone!
I bought Benefit's Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer a couple of weeks ago so I thought I might review it!

I bought this just simple of it's ''15 hour stay'' because who doesn't want their makeup staying for 15 hours?! But I was disappointed with it. Which is odd since I LOVE their ''that gal'' primer.

The packaging was nice. I don't really have nothing to stay about it really. The box looked fabulous! Anyway...

What Benefit says about the primer:
'''Flawless works overtime! Our instant PRO-long primer acts like a magnet to lock on your foundation for 15 fresh & flawless hours. This invisible stick primer glides directly onto skin for optimal wear and a natural-looking finish. Go longer.''

The stick is a flesh toned but comes out invisible. For me I was a bit unsure on this because of bacteria. You apply the primer on your face like a glue stick. You ''glide it directly onto skin then immediately apply foundation and blend together.'' For me this felt exactly like a glue stick but less sticky. It was alright, it also felt wet.
I then applied foundation. I used MAC Studio Fix Fluid and Nars Sheer Glow. Let me tell you, it did NOT last for 15 hours let alone 8. I have combination skin, more on the dry side than oily and this primer made my skin look oily! I never had oily skin so with all the dewy and products for dry skin I was hopeless. It ''melted'' my foundation and made it transfer to everything! A lot of people like this so maybe this product is toward the oily type rather than dry.

Have you tired this primer? Let me know in the comments! Hope this review helped you on deciding buying this or not :)
