Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream - Review

Monday 30 December 2013

Hi everyone! When I was in Paris I went into the highly brilliant Sephora. (Please someone make a Sephora in Britain!) I bought Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream moisturiser after getting a sample of it back in the beginning of summer and I thought it was pretty good!

What Benefit says - Say good-bye to dry skin and hello to "total moisture." This facial cream provides concentrated immediate & long-term hydration for a radiantly refreshed complexion. Our exclusive tri-radiance complex helps develop the skin's reserves of water & reinforce skin's moisture barrier. Contains mango butter, a natural plant-based emollient known to provide moisture. For normal to dry skin.In consumer testing, 100% of people tested felt that their skin was immediately and intensely quenched.

It really does give you that extra moisture in your skin! It's feels cool when applying it in the morning and gives your skin a fresh feeling to it throughout the day.

I'll give it a 9/10 and would defiantly be buying it again!

Bonjour Paris!

Saturday 28 December 2013

Hi everyone! Hope you had a very nice christmas! A week before christmas me and my mother decided to go for a little trip to Paris for the weekend. 3 nights stay before christmas? Ideal! I have to say it was one of the best decision of our life because christmas time for us means stress! So it was nice to have a relaxing time before the stress kicks in.

I even went to Disneyland because how could you not go to Disneyland right before christmas?! It was so so magical! I would LOVE to go back there next christmas and stay for more than one day because it was an experience to live!

As you can see me in the picture, it was bloody cold!!

I think it might be an annual thing to go on a weekend trip before christmas from now on ;)

Do you stay or go away for christmas? Let me know in the comments!

Christmas/Winter Wish List 2013!

Sunday 1 December 2013

Hello everyone! Here's my christmas/winter wish list of 2013! These are my number 1 top things that I want to have before 2013 ends. So hopefully with the christmas coming up and my savings that i've been saving up hopefully I can get these things!

Mac - All That Glitters. Heard amazing things about this eyeshadow and plus I don't have any mac eyeshadows so this will be a great first mac eyeshadow!

Michael Kors Wallet - I've had my eye on this for a long time! I think everybody should get a good nice wallet sometime in their lifetime!

Michael Kors Bag - I haven't decided what Michael Kors bag I really want, but I've decided that I want a good long lasting bag that I will use for college!

Tarten Scarf - EVERYBODY WANTS A TARTEN SCARF FOR WINTER RIGHT?! Yup and i'm one of them!

My favorite nude lipstick! - L'oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Privée

Friday 8 November 2013

Hi everyone!
Hasn't it been long since I last updated?! I've just been so busy with college and other personal things that I haven't got the time to wright a post! I have so much things to review/ tell you guys about so watch this space! ;

Anyway, resonantly L'oreal released a nude lipstick range for every skin colour. This collection is provided by celebrities such as Eva Longoria and Doutzen Kroes. I picked up the Julianne Moore shade is ''Barely peach''

As you can see it's not really a peach colour but more of a true pink colour. Which i'm not complaining about because I love pink colour lipsticks!

I love this packaging! For a drugstore lipstick they made it look really classy and expensive! 10/10 L'oreal!

Top - Without lipstick
Bottom - With lipstick

It's the perfect shade for me as it's like the colour of my lips but better!

Pros - Creamy
Smooth
Lovely packaging
Gives great colour

Cons - Horrible, old ''fashioned'' lipstick smell
Long very long lasting
Smudge off easily

Overall - 8/10

Good as Bioderma? - L'Oréal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

Sunday 20 October 2013

Hi everyone!
Water makeup removers? Yes. They are totally in right now! As all of you must know Bioderma is basically the ''main'' and ''the one that started'' this whole water solution makeup remover. I love Bioderma. I've repurchased it many times and it's my go to makeup remover!

Other brands have started selling these makeup removers such a clique and L'oreal. But are they as good?

I've been trying out the L'oreal Paris skin perfection 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution since my bioderma ran out. And i can say it does work but not as good.

Pros:
-Takes makeup off easily.
-Takes eye makeup amazingly off!
-Makes your skin soft and feels refreshing

Cons:
-Need at least 2-5 cotton wool pads of the solution to completely take of makeup
-Stings your eyes if you get to much in
-Hate the bottle. Goes everywhere if not poured the right way

This retails at £4.99 and I would defiantly recommend for you to try out since Bioderma is kinda hard to get hold of in the UK.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried Bioderma or L'oreal and if you like them!

September Favorites!

Friday 4 October 2013

Hello everyone!
Wait? What?! September has gone?! I swear to god every month goes faster and faster! 1 month ago I was worried sick about starting college and 1 month later I am loving it!
Anyway I decided to make a post on my september favorites!

First on my list for September favorites is 2 Benefit's blushers in ''Coralista'' and ''Dandelion''

These colours are so beautiful! ''Dandelion'' is the perfect everyday, simple, give colour if my face blush. It goes perfect with my fair complexion. '''Coralista'' is more of a summer go to blush and has a bit of sparkle in them but I would still wear it in the winter! It gives such a nice warm glow.

Foundations. My everyday go to foundations I have been wearing last month. I actually mix these two in because Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NC15 is to yellow for me and Max Factor All Day Flawless in the lightest shade is way to pink for me! So by mixing them in it gives more of neutral colour which is perfect for me! It also gives a flawless finish! Absolute adore it!

My favorite moisturiser goes to La Rochie-Posay Hydraphase UV Intense! What a mouthful! This is a french brand moisturiser they also have other things that I might check out! Anyway long story short I realised I had dehydrated skin and needed a intense moisturiser! And this works wonders! My skin looks glowing because of this!

I'm sure you all know what this is! If not it's called Collection or Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. I first tried this about 2 years ago and didn't really thought what the hype of it was. But I tried it again this months and wow! It really it good! I use this to conceal my acne scarring and it's so good! Plus it's cheap! I would defiantly recommend it to you!

This is sleek's face palette. It has a bronzer for contouring, highlighter and a blush. I really like using the highlighter and bronzer! It has been in my everyday makeup back everyday last month and has been good for contouring my face and giving me a nice glow!

For my lips i've been loving Maybelline's baby lips and color whisper and Revlon's just bitten kissable lip stain/balm. Now you will most probably find every british blogger rave about the baby lips because they just realised them over here! I've been to America last year and bought some baby lips while over there and loved them so I was over the moon when they arrived here

Revlon's just bitten kissable lip stain/balm is my go to winter lip product. It's my perfect red lip for winter. i bought Maybelline's color whisper when I went to America this year and unfortunately are not available in the UK. But it just gives your lips such a nice moisturising feeling and is such a great colour!

I was never really into soap and glory products until I got these two. I use the sugar crush every morning when i'm taking a shower and it gives you such an energising feeling! It also smells so good! Pulp Friction (I see what you did there soap and glory) is now my favorite exfoliator! I hate using exfoliator that's in a tub it just messy for me and water get's into it so when I saw this exfoliator is a tube! I obviously bought it and it works wonders! I adore it so much!

My favorite songs of the month is -
Katy Perry - Roar
Miley Cyrus - Wreaking ball and 23
Rizzle Kicks - Lost generation
The Beatles - A Hard day's night
Robbie Williams - Angles
Ellie Goulding - Anything can happen

Favorite TV shows -
Dexter
Supernatural
Dance moms

Favorite movies -
The bling ring
We're the millers
The Great Gatsby

Other favorites -
Ynakee Candle - Slated Caramel and Vanilla Chai
Gold the biscuit
Some granola and greek yogurt

Giorgio Armani Si Eau de Parfum

Sunday 22 September 2013

Hi everyone!
I needed a new perfume for A/W this year because that's how I buy my perfumes. By perfumes with the seasons. Anyway i'm sure that you might of seen Giorgio Armani ''Si'' perfume advert (if you live in the UK that is) resonantly on out TV's and instantly I took a liking to it.

I really like the name ''Si'' it's simple but yet effective! Maybe a french brand should do a perfume called ''Oui'' haha.

According to ''the perfume shop'' it's heart notes are - Rose, Neroli Absolute and Egyptian Jasmine Absolute.
Top notes - Sicilian Bergamot, Mandarin Oil and Liquer de Cassis.
Base notes - Patchouli Oil, Blond Woods, Amber, Orcanox and Vanille Absolute.

It's a different sent to what other perfumes I have smelt before. It's got it fruity smell but also woody. You get this toned down fruity smell that is perfect for A/W.

It's also kinda musky, like Thierry Mugler ''Alien'' perfume and Jimmy Choo original perfume. They have the musky notes in them.
I would also say it's more of a night time perfume but can easily get away with in the day like what I use it for!

It price range is 30ml - 100ml £43.00 - £84.00

I really like this perfume and I would defiantly advise you to get a sample of this if you want a new perfume for the winter! :)

Elf Studio Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red - Review!

Tuesday 17 September 2013

Hi guys!
I was on the elf website the other week to buy the powder brush that everyone has been raving about! (Turns out it is AMAZING!) And as I was on the website I decided to buy a few more things. One of the things I bought is the Studio Matte Lip Colour. The reason being buying this is because I needed a red lip liner for winter. And since I never have tried this before and it was kinda cheap - £3.75, I might as well buy it!

Now I wasn't expecting it to be what it is...

As you can see it's sort of like a pencil. But when I swatches it first it had no colour coming off it whats so ever.

The colour does not match on what is supposed to be. When I put in on my lips it turned even more pink rather than red! I wasn't impressed at all.

It does gives you a moisturising feeling and feels lightweight on your lips. But it wasn't matte! It looked mildly glossy. Overall I would not recommend it. It didn't impress me at all. I was very disappointed with it.

I would give it 6/10 it was okay if you like a pink toned lip colour, moisturising and kinda cheap.
But no I will not buy any other Lip Colour.

Review - Cover FX Cream Foundation - in N0

Friday 6 September 2013

Hi everyone!
I needed a new foundation since it's basically winter here in the UK and all of my currant foundation are a little bit dark for me, so I decided to make some research on this foundation.

Cover FX Cream Foundation in N0.

What they say about this foundation -

  • ''An antioxidant-rich, 2-in-1 concealer and foundation offering broad spectrum SPF 30 protection with medium to full, buildable coverage.
  • This foundation provides an all-day radiant finish that nourishes and protects with anti-aging benefits. The buildable formula can provide medium to full coverage and offers SPF 30, full UV protection, and all-day wear.
  • Provides optimum coverage of skin imperfections such as acne, redness, under eye circles, uneven skin tones, post-surgical bruising, vitiligo, and tattoos and protection from wind, sun and pollution.
  • This clinically tested product does not contain the Inflammatory Five: gluten, mineral oil, fragrance, parabens or talc.''

What I saw about this foundation -
Great but not good. Not worth the hype of what it says. Yes it does cover up good! I used the beauty blender to use it and can easily get full coverage!
But it is NOT all-day wear. I have combination skin, normal and dry. But this foundation made me so shiny! It came off easily, enhances my pores and made my dry skin very noticeable.

It came with a sponge which is pretty pointless for me. The shade N0 was very light. To light for me at this point but will probably be a perfect match in 2 months time. If you have celtic or irish skin then this will be perfect! Choose the 3 first shades and you will guarantee a perfect colour! It aslo has a lot of shades to choose from. They have Pink undertones (P), Neutral undertones (N) and Golden undertones (G)

Here is half of my face without any foundations. As you can see i have acne scarring. It doesn't show up well on camera but it's defiantly worse in real life!

As you can see this foundation covers well! I applied it with a beauty blender. And the shade is a little bit lighter than my actual skin tone. WOW!

Overall I would give it 5/10.
Good coverage.
Good shades.
Satin finish.

But:
Makes me shiny after 5 hours.
Not long lasting.
Cling on dry patches.
Enhances pores.
Comes off easily.

TREND - Autumn & Winter 2013 Makeup!

Tuesday 3 September 2013

Hi!
Autumn and Winter is upon us! Summer is long and gone! (about time! I love the winter!)
As I was browsing on different websites I came across this trend for Autumn and Winter!

Its all about the eyes!

Dramatic eyes, cat-eyes, Orange eyeshadow and The classic for Winter - Red and Wine lips.

The eyes are dramatic. Emphasise your eyes by doing the classic smokey eye look. Cat eyes are a favorite. Personally the cat eyes look is my favorite look on any occasions!
When having a dramatic eye look do not wear a bright, shocking lips. Go for the nude, pink, peach lips. You don't want your lips to be overpowering your eyes!

The classic red. Of course. Nothing beats winter than having red lips! This seasons its best to go for a shine or gloss red look rather than a matte. Don't go for the harsh red instead choose a light lipstick/lipgloss for a more subtle look this winter.

Another trend is the wine/plum lips. The wine lips will look great this season with the dramatic eyes. The wine lips are made for the winter! It's getting dark so the lips get darker!

Maybelline's master precise liquid eyeliner is a must have for cat eyes look. Easy to use - £5.99
Urban Decay's most popular palette ''Naked'' is a must have. Great colours for a dramatic eye! - £36

Revlon's lip butter in Red velvet give your lips a tint of red while moisturising it - £7.99

For the wine lips try Lancôme color design matte lipstick in Plum Show - $22
